Frequently asked questions

Can an app really replace the chanda book?

Yes. Every entry you would write in the chanda or pavti book — donor name, amount, date, purpose — is entered on the phone instead, and the donor receives a numbered receipt on WhatsApp immediately. The digital record cannot be lost, torn or rewritten.

What about donors who pay cash?

Enter the cash donation the same way and mark the mode as cash. The receipt is generated instantly and the entry counts in your day's collection total.

Do volunteers need training?

The quick entry screen asks for name and amount only. Most volunteers make their first entry within a minute of signing in.

Will the old book entries be lost?

No. You can continue keeping the physical book if your committee wants it, and enter the same donations in the app so you have a searchable, exportable copy.
